10-Hour Construction Course

The Alaska Occupational Safety and Health, Consultation and Training section along with Associated General Contractors of Alaska Safety Committee will sponsor an OSHA 10-hour Construction course in Anchorage, March 20 & 21, 2019. This awareness and refresher training is for employees and employers and will cover the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards specific to the construction industry. Subject matter experts will train on various construction topics. Upon successful completion, students will be mailed their OSHA 10-hour cards.
Course topics will include:
- Mandatory OSHA Introduction-1 hour
- Mandatory Focus Four
- Fall Protection-1.5 hours
- Electrical Safety-1.25 hour
- Caught-in between-1/2 hour
- Struck-by-1/2 hour
- Hazard Communication-1 hour
- Safety Leadership-1 hour
- Silica in Construction Requirements-1 hour
- Personal Protective Equipment-1.25 hour
- Power Tools-1/2 hour
- Ladder Safety-1/2 hour
