Licensing Requirements:
Applicants must graduate from an accredited medical school, have one year of approved internship or residency if graduated before 1995 or two years if graduated on or after January 1, 1995. Approved internships and residencies are those accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. Foreign medical graduates need to contact the licensing agency for further information. Applicants must pass board approved examination or combination of examinations, and have received clearance from the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs and from the Federation of State Medical Boards (FSMB), in addition to other required documentation prior to being licensed.
