Many of our fellow Alaskans are turning to Unemployment Insurance, many for the first time, to provide them the financial stability they need. This has created a tremendous increase in demand for the UI program. We are doing everything we can to process claims as quickly as possible. We are working on taking the necessary steps to streamline the application process and payment of benefits.
We appreciate your patience as we adapt to these unprecedented challenges.

You can call a UI claim center and speak to a claim technician 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Alaska Standard Time, Monday through Friday (excluding state and federal holidays). When calling the UI Claim Center you may encounter long wait times and are encouraged to use the call back feature. You will be given an opportunity to select this option and receive a return call from UI staff versus waiting on hold for long periods. Please call the UI claim center closest to your community.
