2000 Employment & Earnings Summary Report Online

The Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development's Research and Analysis section today posted a preliminary version of the 2000 Employment and Earnings summary report to its website. 

The Employment and Earnings Report is published annually and provides employment and payroll information at both statewide and local-area levels. 

"Its intent is to provide information to help businesses, nonprofit agencies, governments and the public analyze the state and local economies," said Chief Labor Economist Christopher Miller. Miller also said the report is part of a standard method of reporting data approved by the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics. 

Labor's Research and Analysis section provides accurate and timely economic and demographic data and analysis to assist government, industry, and individuals to make informed choices. The 2000 Employment Earnings report online is available in MS Excel format. A final version will be issued in both electronic and print format at a later date.
