Governor's Committee Seeks Nominations

Each year the Governor's Committee on Employment and Rehabilitation of People with Disabilities seeks nominations of outstanding individuals who experience a disability and have overcome significant hardship. They also seek nominations of individuals, organizations and employers who have made a significant contribution to the employment of people with disabilities.

"Individuals who make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities need to be recognized for their 'heart' effort and hard work," said Committee Chair Denny Macom (in plaid shirt presenting Tom Rentz chairperson's award at last year's event) . "Please help us do that by nominating someone you know."

The deadline for submitting nominations is Friday, September 20, 2002. Awards will be presented at the Annual Awards Ceremony scheduled for October 15, 2002.
