LABOR ANNOUNCES ADDITION OF NEW 2000 CENSUS DATA TO INTERACTIVE DATABASE

The Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development announces the addition of the recently released Census 2000 Summary File 3 (SF3) information to its interactive database.

SF3 is generally valued for the types of data collected, the detailed nature of the information presented, and the geographic level of the data. The new data will show social information such as veteran status and educational attainment; economic information such as income and poverty status for individuals, families, and households; and housing information such as house heating sources and rent as a percentage of income.

The SF3 database can be accessed from the Department’s Workforce Info web site http://almis.labor.state.ak.us by clicking Census Information.
