Press Advisory: Juneau Offices Lockdown

Juneau: At approximately 9:45am February 13, 2003, an individual telephoned the Juneau headquarters building of the Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development. During the course of the conversation, the individual made specific comments toward the employee and the department.

Following established department emergency procedures, the building was immediately placed in lock-down status and the Juneau Police Department notified.

JPD was quick to respond and took control of the situation. Lock-down status was lifted at 12:05pm.
