PEUC, PUA federal extensions to end on Dec. 31

JUNEAU, Alaska — Department of Labor and Workforce Development Commissioner Dr. Tamika L. Ledbetter announced today that the federal extensions Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation and Pandemic Unemployment Assistance, enacted on March 27, 2020, by the CARES Act, will end on Dec. 31, 2020.
The last payable week of PEUC and PUA is Dec. 26, 2020. Benefits will not be payable after this date unless new legislation is passed by Congress to extend these programs.
