Adam Weinert, Deputy Commissioner

Deputy Commissioner Adam Weinert Adam Weinert serves as the Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development’s deputy commissioner. Adam has worked for the Department since 2022, having worked previously at the Consular Office of Japan in Anchorage for eleven years where he served as a political and economic analyst. Adam’s work for the Department has been dedicated to supporting Alaskans to be connected to great jobs in Alaska. With the Department, Adam worked to re-establish the Office of Citizenship Assistance in the Office of the Commissioner, supporting new Alaskans to achieve self-sufficiency in Alaska. Adam has a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Multnomah University in Oregon. He lives in Anchorage with his wife, Farrah.
