The Alaska Workers’ Compensation Appeals Commission hears appeals from decisions of the Alaska Workers Compensation Board in cases decided by the Board after November 7, 2005. If you do not have an attorney, and you want to file an appeal from a Board decision, the Commission has prepared a packet to assist you. Please click here for instructions on how to receive the packet.
If the other side has appealed a Board decision in your favor, and you do not have an attorney, the Commission has prepared a packet to assist you. Please click here for instructions on how to receive the packet.

Other ways to file documents with the Commission:
FAX: You can file documents with the Commission by fax to 907-269-6737. For appeal documents filed by fax, the first page will be date stamped, marked filed, and a copy of the stamped page mailed to the filer.
E-mail: You can file documents with the Commission electronically, by converting them to “.pdf” format and attaching them to an e-mail to awcac.clerk@alaska.gov . For appeal documents filed electronically, a return e-mail will be sent to confirm receipt, and the documents will be printed, the first page date stamped, marked filed, and a copy of the stamped page mailed to the filer.
