The Department of Labor's Division of Employment and Training Services (DETS) administers the Unemployment Insurance (UI) program under the Alaska Employment Security Act. DETS issues written notices of determination to claimants and employers that affect their benefits, rights, and obligations.

If you are a claimant, you may appeal any written DETS determination that denies or restricts your unemployment insurance benefits.

If you are an employer, you may appeal any written DETS determination that concerns the work separation of a former employee or your UI tax liability.
